Richard A. Nelson

A life behind the story.

Richard A. Nelson had long dreamed of helping create an epic science-fiction story. He first shared that dream with his friend Phillip Wright over dinner. The idea seemed playful at the time, but it never disappeared.

An avid reader with a personal library of roughly two thousand volumes, Richard developed a lifelong interest in the lost ten tribes, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and the place of covenant people in prophecy.

After encountering Michael Rush’s A Remnant Shall Return, Richard helped bring Rush and Phillip together. Their conversations planted the idea for a story about Earth, worlds without number, covenant people, and the return of the Creator. Return From Rysa became the epic story Richard had hoped one day to help tell.
